Defiant Fitness and Wellness
People often say that getting older is something to dread. I see it differently. Aging is a privilege—it means we get the opportunity to continue living, growing, and experiencing life. The question is not whether we age, but how we age.
Part of my inspiration for creating Defiant Fitness & Wellness came from my own family history. Like many families, mine has experienced challenges such as diabetes, arthritis, scoliosis, joint replacements, obesity, and physical limitations that often become more pronounced with age. Watching loved ones struggle with these conditions reinforced something I strongly believe: while genetics may influence our future, they do not have to define it.
At Defiant Fitness & Wellness, we train for longevity. We train so we can continue doing the things we love, maintain our independence, and enjoy living in our bodies for as long as possible. Exercise can absolutely improve confidence and physical appearance, but its greatest value is helping us live healthier, more capable lives.
Fitness doesn't have to be stressful, intimidating, or overly complicated. It can be enjoyable, empowering, and sustainable. My mission is to show people that working out can be something they look forward to—and that aging can be embraced with strength, confidence, and resilience.

Why The Double Helix?
The double helix represents our DNA—the blueprint that makes each of us unique. Many people view genetics as a predetermined fate, but I believe genetics are simply a starting point.
"A person's genes determine what Might be.
But, Lifestyle Choices determine what the person actually becomes"
Our family history may reveal what is possible, but through consistent movement, proper nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices, we can influence our future in powerful ways. We can challenge expectations. We can rewrite the narrative. We can defy the odds.
That's what Defiant Fitness & Wellness stands for.

Training Philosophy
There is no single "right" way to train because no two people are exactly alike. Every body is unique, with its own strengths, challenges, and goals. As your trainer, my priority is to create a program that works for your body—not force your body to fit a program.
Together, we will work hard, challenge ourselves, and train safely and effectively to build strength, improve mobility, and achieve your goals. But fitness is about more than just training muscles—it's about developing awareness, coordination, and understanding how your body moves and functions.
The mind and body work together. Through purposeful movement and exercise, you'll gain a deeper understanding of your body's capabilities and learn how to move with greater confidence and control. After all, if we don't understand how our bodies work, how can we fully utilize their potential?
My goal is to help you build not only physical strength but also the knowledge and confidence to move better, feel better, and live better for years to come.
